 Wonderful experience.

To start off with I have to say that I have a VERY strong faith. Today was one of those days I just have to share.

I had sent Branden a Bible. The institution returned it to me unopened. So, I hand carried it back down. I was bound and determined to find a way to get the Bible through.

I prayed on the way down for the Lord to intercede and help get His word to Branden. We arrived and the receptionist say she would put it in the Chaplain's box, that he would see that Branden got it. Yes, great start.

Well, we were visiting and playing cards when in walks the Chaplain with an armload. Branden called out to him and asked if he had his Bible. The Chaplain asked which one??? Branden told him the one with the letter sticking out. Within 5 minutes the Chaplain brought Branden his Bible and we all introduced ourselves. He is a very nice person. Not a big surprise you say???

It just goes to show what the power of prayer can do.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

 Happy Thankgiving.

For the last 2 years, 2 of our grandsons have been asking us to help them get together with their father again. Today we were able to do just that. A very thankful Thanksgiving.

I sent out invitations to Thanksgiving dinner. I sent them one too. In the invitation I told them that their Dad was staying with us for a while. At first their mother was completely against it. It was this that finally convinced me that it was not all my son.

We emailed back and forth and she finally called me. Her husband convinced her that she was wrong and the boys should have the chance to decide. So, she gave them their invitation. BAM!! We got a very excited phone call. The best part, we were not home, so they talked to their Dad.

The 2 of them, and my other son and his family came for dinner. There were only 10 of us, but it was truly a great Thanksgiving. Those 2 boys are very happy. So is our son. He has wanted to reconnect, but was having too much resistance from his ex-wife.

Again, I have to repeat myself. It really is a shame what people do to their children. The pain the adults cause is so unreal. I know it is true, because I see it everyday.

I hope each and every one of you had a great Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Tonight a very stuffed

 Man Oh Man...

I do believe, after reading Bits and Pieces, that Gloria needs a good pop up blocker. Who needs that aggravation?? Then again, just bring up Bush is more than any one needs these days..

Has anyone else noticed the gas prices?? Looks like the politicians are going to punish us again. But we are suppose to be stupid enough to buy that they are not manipulating the prices. I for one will never believe that!!!

Love ya,

 Good visit..

We drove down today and visited with Branden. You were right, he finally got rid of the green jumpsuit!!!! When he walked in we gave him a quiet standing ovation. He grinned and then introduced his counselor.

I like her. She made the trip to the central visitation area with Branden to meet us. She told me that she was pleased with his progress and that she believes he is being honest with her in his therapy. Couldn't have gotten a better report.

I didn't have to worry about Billy being here alone this time as my 40 year old son is back with us. It is a good situation, because he is finally getting to know one of his nephews. That is a good thing. They pick on each other equally! I hope he stays for a few months.

My son fell four stories down the side of a building when his scaffolding broke. That was about 16 years ago on Dec. 31st. The ground was frozen solid!! He destroyed his ankle and his hip was free floating inside his skin until the bolted everything back together. They had to screw his ankle back together also. He has had lots of trouble though out the years. The doctor told him he would need surgery on the ankle again. Well, it is time. He is in constant pain just walking. He can not work with it anymore.

So, I am happy to be able to give him a warm bed and food on the table. He helps around the house so that is great. After all, he is my baby too.

OK, I will behave. If you believe we are all in trouble.

Take care and try to be good,
Granny
