 YA Hoo Summer Vacation....

Well, another school year done. That is the easy part. The boys decided to take a class at a skills center for half a credit in school. The class is only 12 days long. Not a bad choice!! During this week while they are in school, Grandpa and I will be going to a class and getting our Food Handler Cards again. It is not a hard thing to do, but can come in handy.

It is amazing what is going on here. Branden has been through such a year. I pray I never have to repeat anything like it again. BUT, through it all he has come out of it better. He realizes that what he did was very very wrong and he is so very sorry. There is nothing he can do to change what happened, so now he has to go on and make the best of himself he can. Thankfully what he did caused no physical harm to anyone.. We are very thankful for that. But he still was wrong.

He has been hurt by people that none of us would have every though would be the ones being hurtful. But that is history also. We have moved on and we are all doing better for it. Just maybe God knew that it was time for a change. I never challenge Him. There is no winning.

Billy is trying so hard to be something he is not!! (Yet) He would love to have the freedom and do everything that a graduating senior can do. Not going to happen. I am thankful that his friends are all good decent kids now. He has made some major changes in his friends list. Grandma approves of that move.. With that change has come other positive changes. I am praying that over the summer a few other changes will take place..

Now I can get to work on the house.. How many days until school starts???

 What a Week..

Being the last week of school everything and everyone is a bit nutzo!! I enjoy being busy so that is a good thing, BUT there are limits. Tomorrow is the last day and it is only a half day so that will help. Then all the kiddies go home and we have a few hours of quiet. We are having some teacher retire and others are moving on so of course there will be a gathering at school after the kids leave, and in the evening.

Then, we have Billy. He is in High School and so he thinks he should be allowed to attend all the end of year parties. NOT EVEN!!! He split from school yesterday for the full day. Bad news, then he cut a class today. Anyone want to guess who is NOT going to the last day of the year??? Yep Billy... He can just sit at home with Grandpa.

On Monday I was outside with the kids on the soccer field. Yep this old lady chases and kicks the ball around too. They love it. I even make goals!!! Anyway, some of the kids were asking me to sign their year books. All of the sudden the soccer ball was about to hit me in the face. I deflected it with my left hand and went on talking with the kids and watching the rest. WELL, that hit cost a bit. The diamond was knocked out of my solitaire into the grass. Nice!! I noticed it later. Branden and another employee and I crawled around on the grass looking, but no luck. Then I get to school the next morning and maintenance it mowing the lawn. Oh well, guess I wasn't meant to keep that quarter carat... But I will live.

The next day Baby our new bird got out the front door. We were both just sick. I went to work and tried not to think about it. We had only had her one week. About two hours after I got to work, my husband called and she was back!!! He saw her sitting on the front fence and walked out to her. He figured she would fly away. No, she came right to him and went into the house riding on his shoulder.

That has been my week, how has yours been??? At least we have had nice weather this week.
Bye from sunny Washington. (At least this week.)

P.S. At least Branden has been doing as he should.. Nice to have one behave.

 Four Things To Remember....

1. 'Drink' from the 'everlasting cup' every day.

2. 'Steal' a moment to help someone that is in worse shape than you are.

3. 'Swear' that you will be a better person today than yesterday.

4. And last, but not least, when you 'Lie' down at night,
thank God you live in America and have freedom.
And most important to remember....
I am not as good as I should be; I am not as good as I could be;
but THANK GOD, I am better than I used to be. (AMEN...)

 If Men Got Pregnant....

Maternity leave would last two years ... with full pay
There would be a cure for stretch marks
Natural childbirth would become obsolete
Morning sickness would rank as the nation's #1 health problem
All methods of birth control would be 100% effective
Children would be kept in the hospital until toilet trained
Men would be eager to talk about commitment
They wouldn't think twins were so cute
Sons would have to be home from dates by 10:00 PM
Briefcases would be used as diaper bags
Paternity suits would be a fashion line of clothes
They'd stay in bed during the entire pregnancy
Restaurants would include ice cream and pickles as main entrees
Women would rule the world!!!

Revieved this from my nephew.

Enjoy,
Granny
