 Coming to the End.

This school year is finally closing. I am glad. Not because of my work, but due to the stress from the boys trying to get them through. At this point it looks like Branden pulled it off. He just might have passed all his classes. He is already talking about how he feels he will fall behind in classes next year. With that attitude.... Yes he will. How do I get through to him that he is capable and can do these assignments and on time????

And then, there is Billy. He is in his bedroom working like a mad fool trying to save the little bit of credit he has gained for this semester. He has 6 tests to complete, and an essay comparing and contrasting the book and the movie for "To Kill a Mocking Bird." He was supposed to watch the movie, but since we can not get the movie I told him to pull down several opinions from the web and then write a paper. BUT, I told him to preface his paper with a statement that he could not get the movie so he used this other method. I will have him include the papers he pulled down. I hope that will do it. It is the best we can do.

I just do not understand why kids do this to themselves??? I am seriously considering talking with the SPED teacher. Billy is on an IEP, (Individual Educational Plan)so she has a lot to do with his plan. I am beginning to believe that some of Billy's behaviors could be directly connected to his frustration about getting assignments finished and turned in. We all know he is capable of doing the work, but there is some kind of a road block out there that is stopping him. This something we have to figure out.

Tomorrow we head out to my son's for his b-day and Father's Day rolled into one. I am making a potato salad for the dinner. The boys are happy about that.

OK, that is it for now.
Hugs around the stream.

 HAPPY, PROUD, AND EVERYTHING!!!!!

Branden has been on parole now for over a year. no violation or problems. So, today when his PO visited, She told him that she had nominated him for a recognition award!!! How about them apples?? Yahoo!!!! She also extended his curfew from 7PM to 8:30PM. He is one happy camper.

This evening I got an email from his English teacher. IF he will write an essay about his opinion of gaming in the US, he could very easily pass his class and the Jr. Exhibition also. Oh man... That is one thing I didn't think was going to happen.

Billy had his appointment today and they recommended a sleep study. They also want to do a scratch test to determine just what it is Billy is allergic to. That would be helpful. They couldn't do it today because we give him Alavert every morning. Oh well. another day...

SHOCK!!! I got a mailing from support enforcement... The boys father has paid his support for the third month!!! that has to be an all time record. Sorry for being sarcastic, but it is true!! He is only $55,000 in arrears.

So, I would say today has been a fantastic day.. Many more like this an I will slip a gear... Not really, it is just so nice for thing to fall into place once in a while.

OK, time to go be the cook and bottle washer again... Time to fix dinner.

Hugs around the Stream,

 Excited!!!

That is me tonight. Today at work our custodian, a friend, came into my office and told me about a new Bible study she was attending. It is being lead by another friend. I was reluctant because this lady has held many studies, but most of them have been on other things and not the Bible itself. Not this time!!!

So, tonight I drove over and knocked on her door and asked if I could join the group. After she finished hugging me, she lead me into her home. We had not really seen each other since we left the church. It was a great evening of fellowship. I intend to go every Wednesday night that I can. This is an answer to a long time prayer. Guess I am now ready to learn.

Tomorrow Billy has his first appointment with the Pediatric Pulmonologist at the children's Hospital in our area. This is about his sleeping problems. Four appointments have been preapproved by our insurance. We will see what they show. This Dr. will decide of Billy needs a sleep study or not.

OK, that is all my news for tonight. You all have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Hugs to all,
Granny

 5 1/2 days left...

But who is counting?? We all are. It seems really strange, we all love our jobs, but count down to the few weeks we have off in the summer. Wonder why??

Well my weekend of family was interesting. On Saturday we were to go to Terri's for Skyler's b-day. WELL, that didn't happen. We will have to try again. Then on Sunday we did go out to my sons BUT, a week early. Do I get things messed up?? Never... OK, but we did have a nice visit with them. We will go again for the b-day and Father's Day celebration next Sunday. Yahoo.... "I" got it straight.

Last night Ray came back from visiting Seattle and brought a friend with him. Not a problem, he is not a kid anymore and he is not staying in the house. She seems very nice and I like her. Ray is fixing the rotor on her pickup. Good enough reason to bring her out as his tools are all here.

I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this flowering plant. I got a start a few years ago from a friend who has since passed on. I don't know anything except it is pretty.

I am sitting here wanting to write, but I think everything between my ears went away... So, I will just settle for a short post and maybe be back later... Who knows???

Hugs to all,
Granny
