I am getting frustrated. I have tried to post this twice now and all I get is ERROR, Duplicate post!!!! Sorry but it was not!!!
So here goes try number 3.

I am starting to believe we are going to have a summer after all. We have started getting raspberries and strawberries, the flowers are growing like mad and, G-pa's tomatoes and garden are growing by leaps and bounds. We are suppose to have nice weather for at least the next 10 days. So says the weather people.

Last Saturday I went to our little market down the peninsula. I was turning into a parking spot to the right of a newer Ford Explorer. Well, he backed right into me. As I started my turn, I saw his backup lights come on. I hit my brakes and my horn. and he hit me. He was driving his sister's car.



This is what my left front quarter panel now looks like. No one was hurt as it was a very low speed accident. I heard from their insurance company today and they have accepted full responsibility!!! So Wednesday I am to take my car to a place in Bremerton, they will keep my car and give me a paid for rental, and they will fix my car.

The boys are still real happy with their classes. This is just too exciting for me. Billy states that he hates standing all day, but he loves the welding and cutting he is learning. Branden is happy because he is learning some of what he needs to reach his life goal as a designer for video game graphics. the only way this could be better is if the classes didn't end on July 11th. But, I guess they should have a little bit of free time...

Ray's problems are falling away one by one. He has become much friendlier and nicer to be around. He bought himself a truck tonight and he is really happy now. He should be able to get his licence back here very shortly. He has done everything he was told to do.

Well, now IF I can get this to post, I will be very happy. This is all that is happening in my little corner of the world.

A TOUGH OLD COWBOY COUNSELED HIS GRANDSON THAT IF HE WANTED TO LIVE A LONG LIFE, THE SECRET WAS TO SPRINKLE A PINCH OF GUN POWDER ON HIS OATMEAL EVERY MORNING.

THE GRANDSON DID THIS RELIGIOUSLY TO THE AGE OF 103, WHEN HE DIE HE LEFT BEHIND 14 CHILDREN, 30 GRANDCHILDREN, 45 GREAT-GRAND-CHILDREN,25 GREAT-GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, AND A 15 FOOT HOLE WHERE THE CREMATORIUM USED TO BE.

Tonight was the recognition dinner for Branden. He was being recognized by the parole office for doing so well on parole and in treatment. There were only 4 young men invited tonight. I think I am feeling a whole bunch proud...

Naturally, Branden was not too impressed, not once he noticed there was a room with video games. He ate, received his certificate, and he was gone!!! We knew right where he was so no problem. He was completely occupied!!!

Billy brought home his first creation from welding class. My kid can actually weld!!!! It looks like a mask on a backplate. It is cool. I just hope no one drops it on their foot!!!

The rest of the week is suppose to build up to temperatures in the 80's. I don't think there will be much yard work done this weekend. None of us are into frying ourselves. But, I personally am ready for some more summer weather.

That is all that is new around here today... Not a bad day huh??

Today was the first day for the boys at the summer programs they enrolled in. Branden is taking Computer Aided Drafting, (CAD) and Billy is in a welding class. They are both excited about the classes. They will go until July 11th with a break for the 4th of July. For their attendance and attention for those 14 days, they will earn a 0.5 credit for school. Very good!!! Normally that is what they earn in a semester at school. Wonderful opportunity...
Also give us 3 more weeks of peace and quiet...

G-pa is very pleased with himself tonight. He has a chop saw and was upset because it wouldn't work. So my Mr. Fixit took it apart and fixed it. He is happy because he needed that saw.

I have been working on one of the two baby quilts I am planning to make this summer. This one is made from circles. I have to wait before I cut anything else as my thumb feels like it wants to fall off. I don't think my pinking shears are as sharp as they should be... I have only had then 25 to 30 years. Who can remember??? Anyway I think the quilt is cute.

So that brings you up to date this week. I am trying to not just sit around and relax too much on this vacation. But, I do plan to do some of the things I would like to accomplish. think that is a good goal?? Me too.

I am off. Talk to you tomorrow. Haven't heard anything new from Miss Terri, so I have to believe they are getting better. She would call if they weren't. She is always asking advise of this old wise Lady...
