 CRASH!!

I went down Thursday night. Sore throat, fever and wanting to crawl under the bed rather than in. I was running about 102* so I was out for the count. I slept most of the day on Friday. Took my cold medicine and back to sleep.

Today is Saturday. I am beginning to think I will live. So since I am up and about, my sweet hubby decided he should show me the picture he took on Friday. Did I know he took it??? NO!!!

This is Baby. She insists on being with my whether I know she is there or not. But look out if you try to move her. She will scream at you.

Talk to you later,

 This Month.

I have been trying to think of something to write about. Nothing earth shattering nothing new. That makes it difficult.

This month is one that is really challenging to G-pa and I. Not only do we have Christmas to contend with, but two important birthdays also. You see, Billy was born on December 23rd, and Branden on December 27th. (Where is the emotion for a big scream??)

I have always insisted that no one gets away with giving them one gift and calling it their birthday and Christmas. So I celebrate their birthdays early in the month for the family and then we do something private.

This year the family day is going to be on the 15th. Terri has offered to have everyone at her place and fix dinner for all. Since my Mother didn't raise any fools, when she offered, I agreed. I usually have everyone here and I have the mess. Thank you I will drive!!

The rest of the month is crazy too. Branden is in a dinner play at church. They are doing A Christmas Carol. He has been having fun getting ready for this. He doesn't just get to act, first he and the rest of the youth has to serve and clear the dishes. I like this already!! I have volunteered to work the kitchen. At least that way I can see the play. They are charging $30 each for the dinner and play!!! It is a big fund raiser. Also he has two choir performances for school.

School will be out for the rest of the year on the 19th. So I will have about 2 weeks at home to rest and relax. Yeah sure!! In my dreams. We have 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter to get Christmas together for. Anyone know a bank I can rob???

Then on the 22nd my sister is having a dinner for what we call the siblings. It was supposed to be for the three of us. But it has grown. Now it includes her kids, the boys and sometimes others. Of course she is the kind that has to do it all herself. I learned a long time ago, it doesn't do any good to try to argue with her. She always wins!!

Well that kinda sums it up. If I start sounding like I am playing with my lower lip, I very well may be. But I will make it through the month and then we will start a new fresh year.

YIKES!!! Taxes.

Night all

 Our first snow storm???

I sure hope it isn't the last. It was so pretty, then nothing. I love to watch the snow fall. It is so clean and restful. Today's was too brief and left too little behind.

You need to look close to see the snow. You should have heard the winter storm warnings that were reported. I really expected something a bit more exciting.

Oh well, such is life.

 Minorities

We need to show more sympathy for these people.
* They travel miles in the heat .
* They risk their lives crossing a border.
* They don't get paid enough wages.
* They do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do.
* They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language.
* They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day every day.

I'm not talking about illegal Mexicans;
I'm talking about our troops!
Doesn't it seem strange that many Democrats and Republicans are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don't support our troops and are now threatening to defund them?
