Idle Thoughts

 I am angry!!!

I got home from work today and no boys. Both of them had taken off after school with their girlfriends. This is totally against the rules. No biggy right?? They have new cell phone. Well we got a hold of billy, but all we got was the answer machine for Branden.. The temper gage started creeping up.

It is now 6:40PM and G-pa has located Branden at the library in Gig Harbor. This was after several calls by me to his new girl friend and G-pa and Billy knocking on apartment door to find the person he is with. Anyone want to guess who is in deep doo doo??? Nope, me neither.

Tomorrow is Halloween. I am sure that Billy will want to go out running around. At 16, I think he is a bit old!!! I think that he can just stay home!

School will be a ZOO tomorrow!! All those kids and all that candy!!!!!!!! Thank God it is a Friday!!! Every class is having a party. Costumes and all.

OK, I am going to stop. Not sleeping last night is not good.

Hugs all around,
Granny

 TGIF!!!

We were so busy today I worked through me two breaks and lunch. Man am I a bad union officer. But sometimes life is like that.

The student that was passing out... Well, Mom took them to the Dr and the were taken immediately to in for cardiac test. The student is starting into puberty!! The body is not dealing with all the changes as easily as some others do. We were relieved that there was no heart problems.

The little guy with the black and purple private area... Come to find out, He had been hit on purpose by two bigger boys. Not funny!!! Today I was talking and walking with him and he hung back from lining up with his class. I saw fear and reluctance in his eyes. I will talk to the principal and or the counselor on Monday. This tells me what class the bigger boys are in.

Then as I was getting in from recess the phone in the office rang. As the others were busy, I answered as usual. It was a Washington State Patrol Trooper want to get ahold of our PE teacher. I offered to put him through to voicemail and got cut off fast. It seems that his brother had suffered a heart attack. They wanted our teacher now!! to be with his family. Once I understood the gravity of the situation, I asked the Trooper were they were transporting and I would personally go tell the teacher. This was announced at the end of the day that his brother did not survive. That is so sad.

The RN I work under and I worked all day to get the information we needed for our state report put together. It was a lot more complicated than we had thought. We had to hand count the 2 MMR vaccinations and the 2 Varicella. There has to be an easier mouse trap. But as of today, we have it together.

Billy is doing great with his allergy shots. Only one time did he have a mild reaction. We are down to twice a week now. He is going to be so happy next spring when he can breath. I have also noticed that he is breathing better at night. Now so loud at snoring.

Well, tomorrow G-pa's oldest son and sig other are coming out for a visit. He is a chef and he is bring game hens for dinner. Yum!! Then on Sunday we are invited to my youngest sons place for rotisserie chicken. Hummmm, sounds like a fowl weekend to me!!!

OK, I'm out of here.. I think I am getting goofy!!

 Insanity!!!!

What is going on??? I know that a full moon and no moon make people go bonkers, but it is neither!!! today was total insanity at work. I was not the only one feeling it. The kids were off the wall. We couldn't even blame it on Halloween, that is next week. So what is it??? We had kids misbehaving all over the place. this is just not normal..

Yesterday I had a student claim to pass out three times. The first two were on the playground and no one came and got me the first time, but the second they did. Then the third they did it in front of an adult. They was taken right to the doctor by their mom. The doctor checked them out and their blood sugar was low, and he was order more test plus they are to go to an appointment with a cardiac specialist!!! Then today they ran a short distance and down they went again. I was right there with that time. Into the health room and call mom. Do not stop at go and do not collect $200... ( And yes, I have said prayers for this child.)

Then, I had a young man come in and tell me his privates were black and purple. He claimed no injury and no one had hurt him. Now this is strange!!!! I sent a note home with him as I could not reach mom, and I called and left a message on his grandparents phone. That is the best I could do there.

We went to the wireless store last night and now both the boys have their own cell phone. Yes, I know we are crazy. But with getting the support from their father, we had to make sure they got something they really wanted. Now Branden can talk with his mom anytime as they are both Verizon. Billy can talk to his girlfriend as much as he wants too. They are both Verizon. Love FREE!!! Our thinking, with them having a phone, just maybe we will be able to reach them when they are not at home and we need them. Think it will work????

Well that is about all I know for now. the brain is still swimming from the day.

Hugs to all,
Granny

 Saturday...

We are going to be going up to Miss Terri's house for a birthday party hosted by my ex and his wife. It is fitting that we all meet at Terri's house as the boys have room to run there.

My ex is making a roast dinner. I am bringing the salad and rolls. Sounds fair to me... He was a cook in the Navy, a 100 years ago.. But he is a good cook. It is a long drive, but that is OK, I don't have to cook or clean. Bad guest huh???

Ray has moved! He is slowly getting his things out of the house. Soon, I will have my sewing room back!! Yahoo. He has had a large 2X3 foot box of things sitting in here for 2 years. It will be welcome floor space. We were very happy to be able to be of help to him when he was in need, now he has flown the coop again. I am eager for him to be on his own again.

G-pa was given two laptops by a friend. He worked a barter with the local computer repair store owner. He gave her one for reconditioning the other for me. Super great deal. It has always been a dream to have a laptop I can load all my software for my embroidery machine upon. this is going to be super!!!! He gave it to me early, it was supposed to be my anniversary gift next month. That is OK, neither one of us are good at keeping secrets.

Well, I got my report from my doctor about my physical. It seems that the only problem they could find was my cholesterol is at 213, and I can afford to lose a few pounds. I think that is not to bad if that is the only thing he can complain about at my age. At least I am still trying to chase that soccer ball at recess. I have a whole new group of kids finding out that the "Duty" can make a goal. Love it...

We we have to get going. Everyone have a good weekend, hopefully I will be back to harass later or tomorrow.

Hugs all around,
Granny

 I Just Don't Get It!!!!!

You would think after 40+ years of raising children, I would have some insight to them. I don't. Billy completely baffles me. Tonight I asked him if he could tell me why he won't do his history as he promised me he would. He just looked at me and said,"I don't know." He admits it isn't hard to do, but he won't do it. At this rate, he will never be a graduate.

I know that doesn't mean a thing to him now. But we all know it will later in his life. Now a days getting a GED just doesn't really cut it. Employers are not happy with that. I just can't get a handle on this at all.

He claims to have a lot on his mind. I know her name is Alyssa. Yes, he has a new female interest. At least this one is still in the he wants stage. He is trying very hard to impress her. He wants to take her out to dinner for her birthday. You know what??? I don't think I feel like driving.

I just went into his room and had a nice conversation with him. He claims that what is going on in his head is too much drama. I reminded him that he has several people he can talk with without naming names to try to get a grip on the drama. Also, if it is other people's drama, he needs to figure out if fit is worth ruining his life over. Hope it does some good.

Then we have Branden. As I have said, he is on parole. He is to call his PO every Monday. Part of his parole is a polygraph test every now and again. Well, since he had one on Tuesday he figured he doesn't need to call in. WRONG!!! But I guess he will have to explain that when she is here next Tuesday. What really gets to me is the fact that he knows that the PO department is going to decide if he will get off parole come April or if they need to extend it. Now wouldn't you be doing everything you could to follow ever rule so you could be sure to get off???? I know I would, but he knows better and of course has all the answers. I just don't get it!!

OK, I am finished venting for tonight. Sometimes it just builds up too much and I have to tell someone else. thanks.

Hugs all around,
Granny
