 My Family again!!!

Branden and Billy together again. Or should I say Grump and Branden???

Things have going good since Branden returned home. I was worried that they would start the fighting again right away, but so far no fights. Guess this is what is called the Honeymoon phase. But it is good to have the family back together.

Monday night the men from the church are coming over. They are the ones who will decide if Branden can return to worship. That is OK, we are planning to go to another church tomorrow for worship. Branden has agreed to see them once. So that will be it. If that is not enough for the board, then I am sorry, that is not the church for us.

I have resigned from the board already. I felt completely hypocritical being on a board when I am completely opposed to their actions. So that is done and history. It is not our place to judge, it is God's job to judge.

I can not begin to tell you what all the support has meant to me. Thank you one and all.

(((( HUGS ))))

 Home!!!

%#&**@ Darn that makes me mad.... I just lost my post to who knows where. Now I have to start over!!!

Branden is now at home and officially in school. His first weekend was a good one. He really enjoyed sleeping in until noon. BUT, then he was not tired at bedtime. After everyone else went to bed, he got up and watched cartoons. Yep, You guessed it he was in trouble. That has always been against the house rules.

His Mom has called several times. She is planning a day trip down here on the 5th. That should be long enough for the first time. She has to work on the 6th.

So now I have to try to keep him out of trouble for the next 2 years. Oh, I know it is his responsibility, but being a grandma, I have to try.

So now the saga continues and we are off and running.

Love ya,
Granny

 A Real AMEN Day...

Parenting again is in small way be the work I do at school with the communities children. I work in the health room and on the playground of an elementary school. I fix the wounds, I even have been know to give a needed hug and to counsel some. I really enjoy my job.

Yesterday I went out to do the afternoon recess. The weather was good and the kids were running every which way. This recess was suppose to be kindergartners, 1st and 2nd. A couple of the 4th grade teachers had taken their class out out for some air. They called them to go in when recess started. Sometime that is a much harder challenge than getting them out. I had to walk part way down to our lower field to chase a few stragglers back to class.

About the time I was just about half way back up the hill a couple of younger children ran up telling me there was a boy laying under the bar up at the Big Toy. I rushed up there and sure enough, there was a boy laying there unconscious. I grabbed my radio and yelled for our Registered Nurse. She came flying!!! We then called 911.

(Talk about tension.. I was so tense that I just got rid of the headache, but my shoulders are still sore. I will be just fine thank you.) Later that night I receive a phone call from our RN. She had just spoken to the boys parent. The child was just fine. No injuries, nothing. Thank you God... Amen...

I saw him at school today. He was right back to the same old kid I have always know. Swinging on the bars and playing hard. It is always amazing to see a child bounce back from normal injuries. It is the not normal that are much harder to deal with.

Hang on to you children and hold them close. They could be gone in a heart beat.

 Good Surprises.....

We took Billy to visit Branden. We were very pleased to see the two of them hugging each other. They sat and talked non stop for almost the full two hour visit. It was so nice to see the two of them acting like brothers again.

For years it has been world war three around this house. I am hoping and praying that things well be different now. They have both grow, and matured {some} and they do have interests in common. So, just maybe!!!!

Branden counselor came in and we had a few minutes to talk and I was able to tell her that the exchange between the two was very good. And, that I was hopeful that they would get along a little bit now. We see... Got to think positive.

We go pick him up on this Friday at little after 11:00AM. He is getting so completely excited that I may have to tie him on top of the car to get him home. Can't you all just visualize our car bouncing down the freeway?? I can.

Well, I am beat and need to get everything ready for work tomorrow. I have to be all bubbly and smiles to care for all the children at school.

Bye for now from sunny Washington...
