Idle Thoughts

 This Pain Is Too Much

I am hurting in a way I am not able to deal with. Yes, I can take medicine and it might help, but that does not help the cause. For once the pain is not caused by one of the boys. But it is about one of the boys.

I have searched my Bible all day to try to find something that will explain and help me understand. But, all I find is in complete opposite to what is going on. That just makes the pain worse. I plan to keep searching and I hope and pray that I can find an answer.

My findings and those of my husband, who is searching the Bible also, is that what we are struggling with is something of man not of God. I know the people causing this pain believe they are do the right thing, and we believe that we are doing the right thing. These two right things are in direct opposition to each other. There in lays the reason for the pain.

 Church

I think we are back to square one. I feel Branden being pushed away again.

I told them tonight, we will go through their process, but on Sunday mornings, we will take Branden to another church so he has the freedom to worship and sign.

I am absolutely ready to drop. My head is exploding and I feel very sick to my stomach. I am off to bed to hid under my covers for a while.

 I Hate Homework.

I have spent the last six months fighting Billy to do his homework. I feel like I am beating my head against a stone wall. It is his job in life right nopw ad he has to do it.

BUT, he wants to do noting but play games on his computer. No more internet. That is one thing I control. He has to learn to be responsible and playing games and flunking his classes is not the way to do it. So Granny is getting toothy.

I have one very unhappy kid here, but that is just tough. I know he is a long way from stupid and flunking is not what he is going to do. He can put a bit of effort in and do what he is supposed to do. Then and only then will we talk about getting his internet back.

He want to drive. Not going to happen!!! I have told them both they have to have a "C" in every class before we even talk about driver's ed. Then they have to have a "B" to drive. That is when you get the break on their insurance. So I feel rather safe right now about them not driving for a while. Of course they have to save up to buy their car, and pay for their insurance. And that doesn't include the gas, oil and upkeep.

For now I will fight the homework battle and try to not kill anyone. I'm sure there are other parents that have had the thought of squishing the snot out of their kid. Well, that is where I am tonight. Maybe I should just go to bed and read a good book.

Good night
Love to all,
Granny

 Church problem

The problem is almost solved. It seems the chairman over explained the program. The program he explained was for a person who came to the church for help with his problem without a support system in place.

This does not fit Branden in any way shape or form. He has a very good strong support system in place and all we want is to be able to attend church as a family. That said and explained, the chairman explained that they only want a couple of the elders to meet with him and make sure where his heart and mind are. Then they will report back.

IT things go as they should that should be the end of it. If not I will attend church with him somewhere else. I flat told that to the board. I am not going to see him not allowed to worship.

So any prayers will be gratefully accepted. So that is where we are at. It was a mess, and my blog helped straighten a lot of it out. Also many prayers.

Thank you all,
Granny

 Birthdays

I am now married to a man who has just celebrated his 31st anniversary of his 39th birthday. You see my husband decided when he was 39 that he was not going to have any more birthdays. OK!! So, I stared giving him anniversary parties every year around his birthday. Through the years I have had a lot of fun with his parties and so has the family.

For those of you still adding, he turned 70. That is quite a milestone for him. His father died at 55. So he really never expected to live this long. His doctor just told him for an old stinker, he is in good shape. We can both afford to exercise more and drop a few pounds, more than a few. But on the whole he is in good shape. So just maybe I will get my entire 50 years we agreed on when we got married. We hit 30 this November.

OK, so I am bragging. Sue me. I can guaranteed you won't get anything...

Have a great week.
The best to all,
Granny
