Idle Thoughts

 Medical from Father.
Back to Full Blog

I contacted the DCS, Department of Child Support. They actually answered me right away. The insurance furnished by their father is to pay for what the medical coupons are used for. IF I use that insurance as a primary insurance, I have to pay all the out of pocket expenses. Fun huh???

I talked with Billy's therapist and he is a preferred provider within the insurance company, BUT is not allowed to take medical coupons. So there goes my idea oh more sessions a year for Billy. I am going to contact welfare and see if there is any way the the therapist can be allowed to except the coupons.

As for getting Billy into an anger management class, I have run into a bit of a problem. No one seems to know where any are. Why would there be something that someone needs??? So I don't know what is going to happen there.

What is becoming very evident is that Billy does not get along well with women in authority. His anger flares very quickly to a woman. So his therapist is telling our insurance that Billy is going to need LONG TERM therapy. But surprise!!! I just wish I could have convinced him a few years ago.

So that is what is up with that new insurance. Yippy skippy...

I had another scary day at work. I think the kids are ganging up on me!!! A student fell on a rope climb and hit the base of the scull on the big toy. The student walked into the health room on their own, and another staff member started caring for them, as I was out with the wheel chair getting another student who had twisted their knee badly. Minor compared to the first one. When I got back into the health room the first student was stating that they could not feel their fingers on the right hand. OK, I was on the phone to the parent. They came quickly and took their child to the doctor. The doctor called the school and talked to the other staff member and had several questions about the incident. So tonight there are several of us keeping this child in our prayers.

OK, I am going to back on out. I am a bit drained tonight. Billy and Branden did get the summer classes they wanted to take. Billy - welding, and Branden CAD Drafting. So that will keep them busy for a few days after school is out.

Take care, Hugs all around,
Granny

That is good news June. I will pray that the Lord protect and watch over her. No student should be bullied.

I have to try to stay positive or I might get too depressed..
Big Hugs,

Terri,
It doesn't matter what company it is, have heard from DSHS that I am to use the coupons and that company will be billed for whatever the cost. Problem I run into is not many want to take the coupon, or the coupon will not let the therapist except the coupon... Back between a rock and a hard spot...

I Never Had A Real Mom

I never had a real mom, but
I've had a mom that's real
In all the things that moms should do,
And all the things moms feel.

I never had a mother, but
I've had a mother's love.
I've had the kisses and the hugs
That therapists speak of.

I guess I should be crazy with
The things that I've been through.
But I've had all a kid could need
Because I have had you.

Dedicated to all blog moms! I love you with all my heart!

What a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing it with me. I believe in my heart that when the time comes, you will be a great Mom. You know and understand what is needed.
