Idle Thoughts

 All Kinds of Good News...
Back to Full Blog

Let me see. My nephew and his wife are having a baby girl. Her name will be Taylor Rae. Why this is so extra exciting??? My nephew was never suppose to be able to have a child. Praise be to God!!! Due in August.

Next my niece is having a baby boy. They say they are going to name him Bear. And why not??? It is really exciting as this is my brother's only child. That will bring my baby brother into the "Grandparent" era... Due in September.

Also, this afternoon I got a call from Miss Terri. She was concerned because the State is going to make her carry health insurance on my boys. She was concerned that we would lose the grant we have from the State for the boys. Well, that is not a big thing to us. Besides IF both parents pay their support, we will be dropped and receive the larger amount of support. So how is that going to hurt?? I asked her if she had asked about putting her own 2 little ones on the insurance?? No, she hadn't thought about that. In about 5 minutes she was screaming in my ear !!! YES!!! Her two could be added on with no additional cost. Now that is awesome news. They have been without medical for a while. Another problem solved.

Branden was having trouble with one of his bus drivers again. She wanted to kick him off the bus for 10 days because he laughs too loud. She even went so far as to write him up. Well, the bull in the china shop got mad!!! (ME) I emailed the head of transportation, and special education. I told them just what I felt was going on. I was a full page email!!! Any whoo, G-pa got a phone call from the very head of transportation and told him that they would be transporting Branden and she bent over backwards apologizing for that driver's actions.

Did I cause any other problems today??? No, that was all, but that was plenty. This woman should not be driving a special needs bus.

That is how my last 24 hours went, how was yours??

Stay safe and happy,
Granny

Well Granny what a day that was! Blessings and challenges but in the end God works it all out doesn't he? I spend most of my last 24hours getting caught up on sleep and celebrating Lovie's birthday! I've been giving her little suprises all day! I love doing that!

Bear Hugs!

Thank you for the wonderful compliment Ron. Being cut from the same cloth is great. No, I don't play games when it comes to advocating for my children or any child who needs help.

Granny - - well they can be glad that all they got was an email. You know me - I just write the person up and give it to the district office - by the way I have a meeting on Friday ay 8am; AzRon is going with me so that I have a witness as they are not following the procedure I requested so I will show up with my own witness. They will probably wish they had chosen their own when they get done with my hubby being there . So you can say a prayer of two for me in that regard - have a great day tomorrow - June

Your day sounds wonderful. I am raising 2 little ones who have been through so much, and have started them on therapy already. It seems to help but I know they have their whole lives ahead of them.
